Fresh from the powdercoater. PIC
Picked it up yesterday afternoon. I repaired the rear rails where someone had yanked the bumper from the frame, fixed a couple small cracks, and staightened a few bent edges prior to having powdercoated. I have a few more pieces still to get done along with some plating. Now I need to remember how to put this thing back together.

Just curious, 'bout how much $$ does a powder job like that run? Who did all the degreasing and cleaning?

I powerwashed as much as I could at home with my Wal-Mart special powerwasher before I took it to be sandblasted. Sandblasting bill was $235 and the powdercoat bill was $225. I take a bunch of stuff to both vendors so for the average guy it would have been a little more. I can't paint it myself for that much and do as nice of a job.

Your going to get spoiled assembling all those spanky clean parts! Looks real nice.
I want to know what that airfoil is for in the background... Experimental?

Yes those are airplane parts. I am an aircraft mechanic with my own business restoring old airplanes. The chair is makeshift since the other 10 saw horses are busy at the moment holding other projects. Yeah the cats are custom matched. I can't stand to work on anything nasty so I am anal about clean pretty parts to assemble. I somehow always ending up building near show quality drivers. I hate working on greasy stuff so bad I send all my daily driver work for someone else to fix if it isn't easy and quick to fix.
