somethin followed me home part II

well you all it happened again (after some advice from da-burb (kevin)) ... I had just trailered my 63 out to its new owner and decided id stop over at a junkyard up here to see what his lowball offer on this 70/71/72 chevy/GMC "calico" 4x4 would be, and we worked out a trade for a parts 76 silverado i had here, so home it came... it aint pretty, in fact there is not rust free sheet metal part on the whole truck but it is a complete 71 or 72 3/4 ton 4x4, 350/350/np205 driveline with the round (Eaton i believe) rear with the original 16.5 inch rims and Spicer lockouts. The engine is a pre 76 350 with carb and all attached yet... power streering sans pump and brackets (missed them by 4 DAYS!) and alt brackets, and power brakes (1/2 ton booster). Has the 4x4 ramhorns on it yet and a new (believe it or not) dual exhaust that dumps in front of the rear axle... Not much else for options at all, but it also has a mint grill and the from GMC bumper will make for a good driver.. the rear wont be too shabby either once sandblasted and painted... I have a line on a fairly rust free 71 GMC cab and front clip and a 8 ft bed that is currently a trailer, and make a nice work truck out of this, that will enable me to start the resto of my 70 K10 SWB.. I just wish i woulda been there last week so the ps pump, brackets and lines woulda been there but im diggin it just the same... here are some pics!!!

lol ... yeah it is definetly rough, but im gonna pull off every good trim piece and trinket then i get to have fun with the torch and cut that whole body up for scrap.. will be fun to work out some agression doing that!!! Then its a matter of finding some other 16" wheels and a good set of tires along with some 3/4 ton hubcaps n stuff from the bone yard, and getting the other body n stuff back on...i thought i had just goten rid of a project only to find another one...i am an idiot , it must be a disease...
