Headliner Glue

What is the best glue you can use to install a headliner?

I just used 3M double sided tape. Just make sure the surfaces are really clean if ya do.

I use GE brand pure silicone in a caulk gun. I use the whole tube on the backside of the headliner keeping it away from the edges and applying it long ways. It withstands extreme temps and can be removed later if you decide to repaint the interior. I use a set of spare metal door panels wedged between the seat and ceiling to hold it up there (perfect length) . Just be sure to fold a towel over both ends of the door panels to prevent impressions in your headliner and seat. Press the headliner in various places to make sure it is tight. At this point you can start applying the trim which will help to hold it up as the silicone cures overnight.I have been doing this method for the last 5 years on trucks with no problems whatsoever!. I hope these directions help. Here is a pic showing the door panel trick!. Some people build a brace with plywood and 2x4's but my way is easier and faster if you have spares laying around . Good luck.
