87 spindles
Are the 87 1/2 ton front spindles the same for the HD and LD brakes? If they are then I am guessing that you need to only make sure the rotor and caliper combos match.

Spindles for the 1" vs. 1 1/4" rotors are different and are not interchangeable. But, you can swap spindles, rotors and calipers as a whole between the two.

Ok--do the LD (1 1/4" bore) spindles take an A6 inner bearing and the HD an A5 (1 3/8" bore)? thanks

A good rule of thumb is that you have HD brakes if you can fit a finger in the holes on the edge of the rotor. The holes on the regular brake option are smaller.
