Just spent a bunch of $$ on my 67 LWB

Spending big bucks on a long bed is probably not a smart thing to do but I have to complete the resto on my 67. I just ordered the oak bed with stainless hardware kit, tailgate (plain) and carpet kit from Early Classic. This truck has been in the garage for 10 years and I need to get it finished and sold.

If you are returning it to pure stock and it is a highly optioned or rare truck you might get a decent return out of it. I would not count on it...I do it for RECREATION and ENTERTAINMENT! How much are going to get back on that movie you saw, the beer you drank and the round of golf you played? You can get countless hours of entertainment out of that LOUD pedal....LOL!

Nothin' wrong with a nice looking long bed. I had never had one till I got my '67, always shorties. I will probobly never go back to a short bed now. Of course I use it as a truck, a nice looking truck, but still a truck.
Only thing I am going to change lookswise is to put on some Torque thrust II wheels, gotta finish my disk brake FE and change the rear axles first though.

I did the 5 lug disc brake conversion some time ago. Got Torque Thrust D's also. Now if I can just get $8000 for it.

Just curious, but did you have 6 lug before? I am just pondering either changing out the rear (wide axle) for a later model, or welding up and re boring the lug holes.

Walker, Is that the original color on your truck...I think it's called Vermillion Metallic?? My truck looks just like that(only the paint is not as nice) except I don't the white on the cab. Very nice truck!! I hope mine looks that good when I am finished.

Ron, thanks thats what I am looking for
Alan, that is the original color, repainted though, and is vermillion. I like the color. Sherwin Williams auto paints can make it. It looks a whole lot like a lot of the newer cars right now, ai think both Ford and toyota have real similar colors in the late models. I'd have no hesitation to use this color again. S/W also matched the ivory color on the dash after the paint shop painted the door interiors by mistake.
