to buy or not to buy

Just wondering what your guys thoughts were on this truck. Here are the stats:

-1987 Dark blue 2wd Short and wide
-automatic either th350 or th400 (no overdrive)
-305 TBI
-135000 miles
-Bed is in great shape NO rust it has a bed liner ( lifted bed liner and the paint dosent have a scratch on it)and plastic tool box
-Cab has running boards grab handles and bug shield
-Interior is in great condition with a seat cover
-There was minor suface rust on the rocker panels
-There is a dent in the pasengers side door the window still works but the dent is fairl large.
-The truck has A/c and the origanal radio
-the truck starts awsome and goes into gear great it was a one owner vehicle and always gaaraged.
-the brakes work but made some noise

what do you guys think would be a fair price for this truck.
He also said he would take less with out the bed liner and tool box and I already have both bed liner and toll box so. Remember this truck spent its entire life in Vermont. thanks

Call me crazy!!!
I just bought a donor '87 just to get the TBI and OD.
I guess its a your mileage may vary type thing, some people won't run the TBI and others wouldn't go without it.
Maybe its depends on application? Mine is for DD and cruising, not going to be a race car or hi-performance gig.

I've had pretty good luck with seats. My 86 GMC has a real nice bench and the '82 my GF had had a real nice seat as well (its still in the garage as she bought an aftermarket Steelhorse(?) bench to have a center console and cupholders). They both have the same pattern so I think they have both been recovered coincidently.
With the exception of my '79 Sub every truck I've ever bought had seats that were at least usable?

Did you wear a mask when you robbed the guy? That's a killer deal even if you bought it for the parts....

No no mask the guy was a friend of the family turns out he's known my Grandfather for years so he gave me a wicked deal, most of the time it sucks living in a small town but some times it pays off big. The truck actualy seems to have good power I like it. and the on the TBI subject if gas ever gas down (which it won't) or the TBI drives me crazy I'll ditch it and set anice holley on top.

When we bought my dads 84 we took off the running board and bug shiled the first weekend we had it, lol. Makes trucks look too much like 'old man trucks' IMO. Sounds like u got a helluva deal, nice score!

-Running boards off
-Bug shield was the first to go

actualy my grandfather ofered to buy both the running the running boards and bug shield off me said he'd give me $75 bucks!

I couldn't do it I gav'm to him put them on his truck and he was tickled pink. worked out great

Definetly not 700R4 No Over drive so that rules that out.

It should be a TH 400 . I have seen several 305 cu in 87's with the turbo 400 from the factory . I owned one about three years ago that was set up this way . Frank
