Front 2" drop coil springs

Well I finished installing my 2" drop shackles on the rear the other day, now the front needs to come down a little also. I was thinking of ordering some 2" lowering coil springs from sumitt. If I install these will I need to replace the shocks with some that are made for lowering or will the stock ones be ok? Will any other components be affected?

Shorter shocks will be needed. Thats about it.

At least it won't change your ride. If you like your ride now, spindles are the way to go, and they don't "require" you to run a shorter shock.
On the other hand if you would like your truck to handle the corners without leaning so bad then lowering springs and a good shock will make a big difference. If you are looking for better handling, install an anti-sway bar if you don't already have one.....

I went from 3" drop coils to 2" spindles and 1" coils on my old 88 S10....there was no difference in ride quality. The only difference I felt was a lighter wallet.
