Heater removal
How much of a pain is it to remove the complete heater assembly in a 71 inside and out? Can it be done without removing the inner fender? Any tips before I begin would be thumbs up!

Read the FAQ's, would also like to know about pulling out the cab side part, I'm taking it ALL out, is it just bolted in, and will the under hood part come out without removing the hood?

Easier to remove inner fender. Look for my post for"Semi Smooth Firewall" I removed the heater and installed a small industrial heater/fan combo.

71 dragtruck,
When I removed my heater assy, the inside just unbolted once the glove box insert was removed. Outside w/ inner fender is harder than inside...but I took the front clip off, so that wasn't a problem either.

drop the inner fender a bit. You don't have to remove it all the way. Takes minutes to do. Saves frustration and headaches.
