Whats the widest rear rim/tire combo you can run on the rear with a coil spring rear?

I believe the widest rim you can run is 12in. I have no clue what size rubber would work.

I am running 11" rims with 335/35/17's they are the dodge vipper tires. I had to do a mini tub to the bed but now I think I want bigger. I can fit about a 12-13" rim and would love to find a 355 for the back in a 20" rim dia.

I have 10 x 15 rims, P295 50 R15's. I did not have to modify the body. They protrude about 1/2" from the outside of the side of the truck. I believe the offset is 4 or 4 1/2 inches on the rim. The tires on that rim measure 12 7/8 inches wide.

I have 33-12.5-16.5's on the back of my truck with 16.5x9.75 rims. The acutal width from lip to lip on the rims is 12 and that's as wide as I'd go. I also have the original cab and chassis rear so it's kinda narrow.

I have 12" rims with a 7" backspace,tires are P295/50R15 on my 69,Mine to is tubbed out.

I used to have 15x14" vette-ralleys w/31x18.5x15 Mickey T Sportsmans on a stock width 67/8 12-bolt, coil spring suspended, stock frame rail 68. All that was required was removal of the outside bumpstop, mini-tubbing & custom off-set wheels.

Man thats alot of tire..I would be interested in the specifics on how much you took out of the bed..I thought about doing some aluminum wheel tubs myself. Do you have any pics of the rear setup?

The rear set-up was just an average stock length 67-68 12bolt rear housing. The mods were just to the floor & tubs + the custom offset wheels. I cut the floor all the way to the outer edge of the frame & had the stock tubs stretched to fit. I also stepped the bed floor for clearance since my truck is pretty low.

Hey can you tell me what size rims and tires you are going to run with the back spacing too, my bed looks just like your but i havent finshed it yet and is your rear end 5 or 6 lug thanks alot if you cna help me

I'm running 325/50s on a 15x10" rim with about 3/4 inch to spare on each side without any modifications. my truck has a 4/6 drop. keep in mind the 69-72 rearends are wider by about 1 1/2" . I am running a 71' rear in my 67' .

I was running around 8 or 10" wide aluminum slots with N50 tires on my truck. From what I remembered, they would rub on the inside of the rear wheel well whenever I turned a corner. Otherwise they fit in the opening perfectly.

The bed floor measures 19.5" from the cut line to the original outer edge.

Thanks for the props. I did the floor w/the help of a friend that specialty welds thin stuff (aluminum mostly but sheetmetal too) in a sheetmetal fab shop. Another friend helped significantly w/the tubs.

i have 12 wide drag lites with 6.5 bs im going to try to fit a 29.15.5 under there its probably going to be tight i have a 68 12 bolt measurements shows it will clear to be safe get the 7.5 bs you do have to tub it though

I have these for sale the are 15x10's centerlines with 28.5 by 12.5 mickeys they filled my 71 fleet wheel wells quite nicely 250.00 for the pair!
