differences between 1/2ton and 3/4ton
I have a 72 C10 and I was wondering what differences there are between my truck and a 3/4ton. I want to beef up the suspension and hopefully get the truck to sit level rather than hunched down in the front and I thought maybe a few 3/4ton parts would do the trick.

Heavier front spring would help lift the front end .

If all you want is a raise, longer springs are the way to go. The heavier springs aren't always longer, just heavier (ugh). You can get custom spings made for reasonable prices to your own specs--length & weight rating. Check these guys out first:
http://www.eatonsprings.com/ To beef it up other than just springs, you'll need new spindles, brakes (incl. master cyl), ball joints, etc. Which will also give you 8 lugs. Could get pretty involved... Good luck! ![]()

You can also lower the rear to level the rake out.
Rasing the front w/o suspension mods will alter the front suspension geometry |
