Rebuilding Front Suspension
I have been replacing all my suspension parts on my truck and lowering it in the process. Went with 2.5 spindles and 2 inch Summit springs. And lowered Toxic shocks. Anyways a couple questions 1) What do I do about the dust sheild, Im pretty sure my stock one wont fit, dunno If the lowered spindles come with one, they should be here this weekend. 2) Also I am running stock truck rallys with 275/60/15 Are these tires gonna rub and if so , Where? also whats the next size I need to go down too? Any other tips on reassembly?
Was a PITA removing the upper Ball joints and lower control arm ubolts with Longtube headers!

The dust sheilds will swap over without any mods! I just did this on my project, with no problems!

4.5 inch front drop with 275/60's is pretty much guaranteed to rub.
You can run a 245/60 on an 8 inch wheel in the front and it usually clears real well. I say usually because you may have a weird offset front wheel, but a rally or stock wheel should be fine. Try Early Classic's "stance page" to get an idea of wheel and tire fitment. They give pictures and tire size with the pictures.

I got it put back together this morning, havent driven it yet or had it aligned, But I cant see anywhere it will rub, I can fit my hand around everywhere, I did this full turn to turn. How much give will it go going down the road, might have to break out the hammer. My tires now are 28inches, If I go to a 245/60 that would be 26.5, another 1.5 inches lower right?

So how does it steer? Are you bound up in sharp turns - like into a parking place? Lowered mine with springs alone and computer says it's aligned, but steering in turns is awful? Not sure how to correct. Ideas?

I have only put about 10 miles on it, it doesnt turn any worse than it did before. I do have a later model steering box. Going Thur to get it aligned, I just got it close in the driveway, but it already rides 10 times better, cant even hardly feel bumps, doesnt bounce alot like it used too. Might want to start another thread on your question, probably get more responses.
