Transfer case without adaptors would be good. Thanks.

American Rider - I would like to know overall length of automatic TH400/adaptor/NP205. I am considering swapping out my SM465 set-up.

TH400 is 24 3/4" Adapter is 4" and the np205 is 12" to 13" from the front of the case to the center of the output yoke. Total would be about 40 3/4" to 41 3/4". I'm down in the back right now or I would crawl under the truck and measure mine as it sits under the truck. At least this will give you an idea of how long this combo is. The adapter should include a new input gear for the transfer case with a 32 spline input to match the th400 tranny.(machine shop work). You need to use the 2wd version of the th400 with the short tailshaft.

the 4sp 205 I have is 13 inches, the TH350/205 is 12 inches. The difference being the type of rear yoke that is installed.
