Guaging Interest blazer bed side

Ok here is the deal. It is a 72 blazer driver side bed? side. Not sure if it is called a bed side on a blazer. Anyway it is probably a repop. He bought it and a ton of other 68-72 truck parts in a lot at an auction. The side was in a box and everyone was told that everything was truck parts. He really didn't need the piece anyway buy tore it open to reveal a blazer bedside. It has very very very minor surface rust and no other visible dents or dings.
I DON'T HAVE ANY PICTURES YET!! I know I know.
If there is interest i will be going to get it in 2 weeks and will then take pics and etc.. If not i will not waste my time or garage space on it. I looked this thing over and all i saw was the surface rust. Of course this was just a quick look over not a good inspection.

It will have to be shipped or pick up from Lincoln, NE or close by.
Not sure on a price yet. Not really sure what it is worth. I know the truck ones for for about 4 bills new. Not expecting that but i need to make it worth my time and my buddies

Again i know no pics yet. but if you guys can post some average prices of this kind of thing that will help me out. Again i don't expect any offers without pics. I wouldn't either.
Thanks

Interested, let me know when you have pics. You can e-mail to pezboyandgirl@charter.net when you get a chance.

Thanks, Scott

Blazer bedsides were only made by GM--no re-pops. I have a pair of NOS put away. the interesting thing is that a dealer could order a complete bedside with inner or just a bedside skin without the front pillar or inner assembly--one of my NOS bedsides is a perfect skin only! Although there is demand for Blazer bedsides, a good body guy can cut down a short bedside and you would be hard pressed to know it.
I offered NOS bedsides to The Truck shop in California for reproduction but they passed as they don't like the cost, expense, and shipping damage of transportation.

Ok I told the guy there is interest. My dad will pick it up in the next few days and i can probably get some pics then and start to get them up. I probably won't have it up here in Lincoln with me for 2 weeks 24th or 25th. unless some other trip happens in between now and then. Will keep you guys updated.
Thanks for all the interest

A buddy of mine sold a pair of NOS inner and outer blazer sides for $2000 in the early 90's. The guy that bought them even drove up from TN to get them. I guess it is how bad someone wants it.

Pictures

Ok i might have been wrong about this being new, now that i finally get an up close look at it. It is still in good shape. It doesn't really look like it has ever been mounted though. No washer rings around mounting holes or anything. But there is more surface rust than i originally thought. There are 3 very small dents on the out side as well. Very easily fixable
If you guys have any other questions let me know. What is it worth?
I will clean it up tonight for some better shots.
Thanks

still interested, shipping is to 55060. Like 72CSTC said, try Greyhound. I've shipped a few large things through them and it was very reasonable.

Looks like a good part to me. Compared to all of the rusted out panels that I have seen on Blazers before. Nice find!

I think i will start off and $500 + shipping or local pickup on ebay probably. I asked around. so I thought that would be the best place to start.
Unless some one wants to make me a better offer
Thanks

I'll probably get flamed for this, but oh well <flame suit on>

Ebay?????

You first ask for an opinion about something you don't know much about, then people here tells you what exactly you have and a fair price that you could possibly get, I see at least two parties interested on the item you have referred and you want to ebay it?? You rather give another person in another site (who did not help you at all id and price what you have) a chance to get this item so they can probably make more money on it instead of giving the great people on this board first shot at it? call me stupid but isn't the title of this thread "Guaging Interest blazer bed side" I thought you wanted to sell here? Why gauge interest on the board and then say you're ebaying it? nothing wrong with ebay at all I shop there too.

Is just like what my dog did last week to me. took him to vet for vaccines and came home and fed him and then he bites my hand? that ungrateful mutt (gave the dog away lol )

Not going to flame. After asking around locally and on here I was lead to believe that it is worth around 500 and would probably go for more on ebay. It was acutally a board member who said i should put it on ebay. If no one buys there then I have no problem selling it for less on here.
I agree there are great people on the board but i do not often make money to use on my truck. As a matter of fact it has recieved almost no attention in about 6-7 yrs. So it can use all the money i can throw at it.
Sorry if i offended anyone.
