Where to buy parts?

Where is the best place to buy replacement sheet metal parts for a 68 step side. Needing fenders, inner fender, and patch panels for the floor. Looking for the best place to buy and is easy to ship and the metal is good to work with.

thanks,
eric

I would use the parts board. I have had issues with almost every other vendor.

I would recommend trying as hard as you can to find good OEM sheetmetal parts before you resort to buying reproduction parts. Triplus brand reproduction parts seem to be the best, from what I've heard. I have only bought rocker panels and cab corners from them, and they were high quality compared to some others I have bought. I'm assuming their other parts are similar in quality. I have seen a lot of threads on this board about how difficult it is to get reproduction body panels to line up.

If there are any vendors in driving distance, use them and save yourself a bunch in shipping and headaches. Another option is if there is a local parts store that handles sheet metal and is willing to work with you. They can order the parts from the same sources as the vendors.

Try Kenny's Truck Parts in Tulsa.
He is a full store for 68-72, but the repo panels that he has are the same crap. Ask him to find you some OEM steel, he -has always come through for me.
Kenny's a one man show and a true 67-72 guy.
