Strange looking GMC mirrors
Someones "Grampa fishing truck" is for sale. I noticed something strange when looking at the pics. Has anyone ever seen this type of mirror? How about the headrest on the Pass side? Hmmmm.... Original or what?

 Parts Truck???? No way! For the people that go for the original types that is a hell of a nice truck. The description says it is a AM/FM but it looks like a AM to me. Anyone else ever seen that type of headrest?

Those mirrors aren't so uncommon I don't think, although it's hard to tell for sure from the picture. I believe there's thousands of trucks with that type of mirror. They just look differnt on that one cause the fool put them on upside-down. LMFAO

That's what a nice fixerupper should look like:
Complete. Fairly unmodified. Original paint. Or a simple repaint. Maintained, but untouched in the restoration sense. Reasonable miles. I'm sure we'd all prefer to buy it on the cheap, but it looks to be a good buy even for the BIN price. Low Blue Book/NADA would be close to the BIN price. Edit: I've seen those type of mirrors. They're my favs for looks unless I can just use the little car mirrors. They also are somewhat wide without having to drill the door skin down low since they use the car mirror holes and the window frame. The best ones have the window frame bracket mount screws hidden behind the frame. And they don't block vision like a West Coast mirror. For towing, I prefer the 4 point mirrors with the swivel arm for the mirror head. Like LMC sells (p/n 38-5818).

I was about to ask the same thing.... that headrest looks factory..... NEVER seen one before.... also, anyone know anything about the sticker in the middle of the dash, it looks like it ID's something????

I think the mirrors are GM. I have a set from a 67 GMC camper special. And thats no parts truck

Special-K I was just kidding. I think the 3/4 ton longbeds look really nice with the new style truck seats in there with those aluminum 8 lug wheels on the newer 2000 and up 3/4 ton trucks. I saw one set up like that yesterday on the way back from my doctor.

That's a great old stock truck. It wouldn't take much to get 'er back to her factory glory.
That's a great example of a 68 GMC. I like the color-coordinated insert on the dash bezel and the silver trim on the glove box. I wonder what kind of shape the seat is in.
