1981 laserdisc converted, ready to mail

Hey gang, just wanted to let you guys know that the 1981 laserdisc has been converted, and I will be mailing it out within the next day or so. The 1984 & 1985 laserdisc are not finished yet, but should be pretty soon.

I also want to say thanks to John (my co-worker, who is probabaly reading this ) and Mike (swervin)...both of these guys have been very helpful in getting these converted.

BTW - I may be contacting some of you for address'..if I can't find them at home. Hey, it has been a while.

Good to hear, I can't wait till the disk comes in the mail. I can already tell this is money well spent.

Jeff was going to try and get a bunch of old commercials and stuff of
these trucks. GM wouldnt allow the release of those commercials. He
found some old laser discs on ebay I think. He purchased them and had
to convert them to DVD. I believe the laser discs he found are were
sent to dealers when the trucks were new. People who were interested
when this started gave money to Jeff to pay for the research to find
the commercials that applied to our trucks. Then GM said no on the
release so he spent the remaining money on the laser discs.
I think some discs may be available to others if they donate to the board.
Please correct me if I am wrong.

Eddie, you are correct.

I am in the process of gathering everyones mailing address. These are the people who have PAYPAL'd me (correct me if I am wrong)...

David(Sanitysbane), Russell(Russell), Joe(ElGracho), mylilbowtie, Chris(CaptKaos), Eddie(Phoenix), Jeremy(onefastc10), Ville(rockHQ), Adam(cochino12), Mike Walls(don’t know your screen name), and mylilbowtie.

Mylilbowtie, please PM me your mailing address…it wasn’t on the PAYPAL transaction.

When I get home, I will go thru my E-mails and try to find out who paid by snail mail (I know Mike (swervin) did).

If you did contribute late last year, and your name is not on this list…please reply here and let me know.

I thought I contributed last year...I think? I joined in 2003 and know I contributed once, but can't remember when. It's not a big deal, though, but I would be interested in buying a DVD from you. Actually it's high time I send in another contrib, so maybe I'll just do that.

Yes, it is 1981 only. However, it should be closer ot 40 minutes long...and not sure why it is playing over and over. Could it be a setting on your PC/DVD player?

Anyone else having this problem?

I did watch one burned DVD, and it played fine. All the DVD's were created from the same burn file.

Please let me know.

The 84 & 85 will follow soon.
