Spare parts? What are they?
Hello gang,
I had to stop my my engine redo 3 years ago because of my wonderful newborn. He's getting trained on shop tools now so it won't be long before he's under there turning wrenches with me (He, he - can't wait). But seriously, I had a guy helping me do the engine restoration. When he gave the engine back to me for installation, there was a box of parts, to put on the engine once it was re-installed in the truck. Well, since I have most everything back on, there are a few pieces I can not identify. Lookie here: what are rod "A" and bracket "B" used for? Also, this is not an original coolant overflow bottle. Can anyone I.D. it from another car? Thanks for your help

I can say for certainty that A is the rod that goes from upper alt bracket to head. See below

"B" is for the rear support on the A/c compressor.

Wow, that was not in my parts book, thanks
Do you have a drawing or picture to describe its location? I do not see this in my parts books or assembly manuals for a BB A/C bracket.
I see that the SB 350 bracketry looks alot more complex than the BB, but I can't see how it hooks up.

72-only style brackets. 68-71 were slightly different

A looks like the carb linkage bar for my inline 6.
The over flow bottle looks like the one in my '68.

Ok, I just looked at my carb linkage, it's definitely not what I suggested. I can take a pic of my washer bottle when i get home to compare. I have it out and on my floor right now.
