here's a table i built out of scrap wood (before i moved all my tools and engines in) and a picture of my truck taking up the rest of the garage space (my garage is on the other side of the wall by a/c and furnace)
i keep all my cans stacked on one wall, need to get some long shelves. my toolbox is obscured by the truck's front clip, it's about as tall and wide. my main wrenching tools stay in the garage closest to the truck, all other tools are stored in the basement on the shelves and tables i'm building out of scraps.

If we're doing external links, here:
http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg...15344?v=glance You can find this book at any major name bookstore. My coworker Chuck Higgins got his garage in there. If you want some ideas for excellent usage of space and incredible garages, that's the book to flip through! You don't gotta buy it!

1969 C/K CST, that's crazy. I did not see a refigerator anywhere in that garage. So, I have to walk all the way back to the house for a drink?...lol

I'll have to get some pics of my garage/hang-out. The previous owner ran a cabinet shop so I lucked out on counter space and drawers. Although it seems to be a catch all for unrelated items. Going to soon need the space for tear down. Never enough storage!!! Got 2 fridgs in mine.

Mine is small, so everything has to be organized pretty well. I keep my tools clean and where they are supposed to be, so I never have problems finding them.

My shop, metal building, came with a shelf all the way around. Handy for a few things. My workbench is a cast off from our radio labs on base and I picked up some dorm room dressers and lockers from a used furniture place to store things in. I also picked up some used bread racks froma store that was closing out. Place isn't real neat right now because of the storm, but you can get an idea from these two shots.

this three car garage belong to a friend of mine. there is a beautiful 1957 chev 2 door hardtop in here. a 1969 camaro project with tons of rare and nos parts. a 1967 corvette coupe project with a ton of rare and nos parts. a whole bunch of engines, big and small block. a couple of very nice on/off road bikes. some boat motors. a ton of tools, power and regular. he also has stashed in here alot of nos parts for a 72 cheyenne super short box 4x4. the rest of that truck is out back somewhere....and who knows what else....oh, lots more stuff stashed outside and in a big ol shed.

I can't imagine how anyone could live like that. What a shame. If anything would happen to combust in those ideal conditions, it wouldn't take long to have one heck of a fire.

No pics here, just a suggestion.
I have ceiling mounted retractable lights on both sides of my work bay, then you don't have to run extention cords everywhere. There is always a light when I need it, and you don't scratch your paint running cords across your hood. Also try putting up retractable air lines and extention cords keeps your work area much less cluttered. Its well worth the investment.
