Incredible! I almost can't believe someone would spend the bucks to build such a machine. Maybe a custom shop got ahold of the truck as a plane jane and went to work.

Is that paint one of those that react to light? Looks purple in good light; black in poor light. The Lemons headers intrigue me. I never knew there were outside the framerail headers available for 67-72 2wds. They must really flow well at high rpms since they can come away from the heads with no need for sharp bends to tuck inside the frame. Looks like they are ceramic coated, too.

LUV the tubbing. Wish the cage's rear strut supports went thru the bedrails instead of the tonneau (silly nitpick

).

I love how they LIST IT ON E-BAY, then near the bottom of the listing they say "DON'T LOSE THE CAR BECAUSE YOU WANT TO PLAY THE EBAY GAME" IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN PURCHASING DON'T HESITATE TO CALL AND MAKE A DEAL.

Make up your mind....if you don't want to play the e-bay game, DON'T list it on E-BAY!!!

I do not really care for it. $50,000.00??? I know you can sink a lot of money in our thruck but $50,000.00? That is a lot of sinking and what is that coming out of the bed. A roll bar of some kine? To each his own. IMO

Just cant get by that new bed on an older truck. If you are going to spend that much and your dead set on using on newer style bed, you would think you would have the body shop round the openings on those rear fenders so they match the front.

that steering shaft looks interesting (KABOOM!!!!!!!!)//looks like the fuelline will vapor lock// all that braided hose unsecured will flap around acting like a grinder// for 50thousand dollars he couldn't afford a quick disconnect for the $49steering wheel guess he couldn't afford an airfilter either

or how bout that "rollbar" looks like the ones i used to make up out of old gymsets no real bracing strength to it//battery??? can't race with that setup anywhere i know of??? how bout the rear brake is that the bleeder scew at the bottom of the caliper????

i'm probabally too picky after all what do you expect for 50thou nowadays

Agreed 100%!!!!! I have been saying that ever since I have seen the first newer style bed on our trucks.

The newer style beds are fiberglass so maybe it helps in weight reduction. I like it for what it is. A drag race truck.

Nice sawz-all job on the door panels to fit around the roll bar.

PROFESSIONALLY BUILT - NO EXPENSE SPARED!!! not even for windshield wipers or to plug the holes in the cowl.

Disclaimer: I don't have anything near as nice . . ... But, for 50K I would hope the frame detailing would be a little better quality. The frame looks kinda' rough in the pic of the rear coil-over shock.

This quote is from the ads text. In the pic of the rear coil-over, theres rust, dirt, flaking paint . ..... and that just the frame. There's also a zip-tie holding the brake line & rusty rear caliper bolts.

While it may have 50K invested, rust indicates it's possibly not "completely new". It's a nice truck for the right person but IMHO that ad text is vague.

He`d have more money into it if he had the right bed on it.The Sportsides on these trucks is just the cheap way out:grab a nearly new bed and throw it on a 30+year old truck-PRESTO!! "Hey,the lines even kinda sorta line up,kewl." I want to see how a 67-72 Stepside looks on a post-88.

slap some historic tags on it, drive it anywhere, with those tags it can be driven on the street, no state inspection........i agree on the bed, it needs the original....

He could have that much into it.Doesn`t matter,he wants 1/2 that,his loss.The chassis work was done in 2000.He`s saying "new" because it was all new parts and it only has 45 minutes on it.That is nice paint.I`d own it for the price,bet it`ll scoot.He`s calling it a show truck.So the pro-street is just a classification.It hasn`t been on the street or raced,I don`t think.I wonder what the deal is with the pedals,good point.

So you spend all that money on a mega hp big block and all the additional race stuff including rear coilover setup, but don't allow for the rear suspension to work properly. Looks to me that the axle tube is only an inch or two from the frame rail. What happens the first time you wind that thing up and launch it? Seems to me for 50K, someone could have put a little more thought into rear suspension engineering.

I don't mind late model beds installed on customs, but as someone else stated, the wheel well arch on the bed need to radiused to match the front.

if you're worrying about what happens when you launch it the elcheapo $35 bottom of the line bucket seats will probablly come loose and and the steering column comes loose so you'll have a whole lot more to worry bout than the suspension bottoming out
