warning light for brake

on my 71 c-10 i have disc brakes in front drum in back no power brakes, anyway my brake light was on when i bought the truck checked the fuild its full pull the wire off p vavle light goes off do i have an bad p vavle?

Mash down on the brakes real hard and the valve should shuttle back to neutral. (Edit: causing the light to go back out.) If it doesn't look for leaks entire system. If no leaky suspect bad master cylinder.

i mashed the brakes hard light still on i know its not the master cylider because if it was i wouldn't be albe to stop lol plus its not leaking on the out side and i don't think it has an internall leak buecause fuild leavel tays the same
