LED 1157 Red Tail Light Bulbs
I bought a few from pep boys for $8 each.
They seem VERY bright. I have seen the ones advertised for $50 but dont know what the advantage is. Do You? Anyway if they last it seems like a good replacement. |

I guess I was asking because I was wondering how the red ones look through the red tail light lens.

I have one APC 1157 in the right taillight of the panel. Do NOT like it. The only reason I have ONE bulb, is because the other burnt out almost immediately. The bulb itself looks ok, but I tried it in my stepside, and forget about it. Can barely see it (due to the angle that the bulb goes in).
Sorry for rambling. TJ

This is a wierd deal. I bought some of those red LED lights for my clear lenses and the one on the passenger side has burned out twice now! I think I'm going to try the covers on the stock bulb thing.

Well, I had to go the Pep Boys last night due the red LED bulb burning out for the second time. They had regular 1157 bulbs tinted red. 4.99 for a pack of 2. I bought those and installed them. They put off much more light than the LED bulbs I had and I bet they will be more rugged anyway, I hope.
