8MM straight boot plug wires
Been trying unsuccessfully to find a set of 8MM plug wires with straight spark plug boots for a 350. Does anyone know what applications meet the need

Re: 8MM straight boot plug wires
Are you looking for stock factory style or aftermarket? Taylor or MSD has the type your looking for if you want aftermarket. I have a set of straight boots on my 74 Corvette that are factory style that go under the manifolds.

Re: 8MM straight boot plug wires
What kind of distributor are you running? Is it a stock HEI distributor?
The stock application that has staight spark plug boots is for a big block engine that has the wires going over the valve covers. It works well on small blocks. It is what I use with my HEI distributor. I can post the exact application tonight. |

Doesn't Accel still make those universal cut-to-fit sets? You can buy either straight or 90's. I've had em on my truck for years.

Re: 8MM straight boot plug wires
For a straight-boot 8mm plug wire set with an HEI distributor, the application is a 1976 one-half ton truck with a 7.4 litre Big-Block engine. The NAPA part number for this is 700242. Even though it is for a Big-Block engine, the wire lengths work well on a small block engine. That is what I use, and I run the plug wires over the valve covers and my Ram Horn manifolds. LOL
