Whats involved in removing the dash from a 67 c10? Windshield is still in and I would like it to stay.

well if you want the window to stay, your out of luck. the dash is spot welded every 2 inches along the bottom of the window channel. are you trying to do this on your daily driver?

lmc has the window gasket for $40 but check the site vendors they may have it cheaper.

a little more on the dash removal:
there is 2 bolts on either side of the dash that connect the dash to the sides of the cab. there is also a connection under the steering colum i think it's 3- bolts and there is also the obvious electrical stuff . with the right tools and a rivet cutter you can pop it out in probably less than 4 hours. this includes dissasembling everything else around it.

if your storing your truck outside and worried about water getting in your cab while your working on it concider cutting the inside portion of the window gasket when you remove the window. this will alow you to set the window back on when your done for the day. a tarp wouldn't hurt either.

I believe you can just cut the dash along the perforated holes under the pad and remove the bolts on the ends and the other electricals and such without removing the window. then to replace you could bolt up and weld back in under the dash pad to hide the wok done. Randy

As this for your race truck I assume you don't want any dash in the front, as said above remove the bolts on the side and get yourself a spotweld drill bit, you'll need it to remove all the spot welds in the front, or should say back of the dash, right below the windshield, if my memory serves me right they're 13 or so, have fun.

Actually there are about 25 of them, very easy to do with a spot weld bit. Here is a shot from the front with the dash out showing the holes where the spot welds were. Second picture is the back of the dash after it was spot welded back in.
