Motor is DONE!! pics!!
Well its beeen FOREVER since i been on here, been working hard and i finallly got this motor done. Its a 383 Stroker with brodix heads. Supposed to be making a good 600hp atleast. Were hoping hehe. Anyways, I know how much yall loooove looking at peoples new motors so, here she is. Picked her up today and layed her on the frame not 3 hours ago! Enjoy guys!

Looks nice. 600Hp is alot from a 383. How streetable is that thing going to be?? Any specs on the motor??

Huge cam .630 lift, Track 1 Heads, fully ported and CNC work blah blah etc. etc. Holly Carb, 7qt oil pan, 6in rods from scat as well as a scat crank. KB Pistons, should be an awesome motor!! If anything..Ill get 450 outta it hehe :P And yes....that frame is DUSTY!!!! I feel ashamed to even let anyone see it haha :P

Freakin SWEET!
BUT...I think 600hp is a little bit of a stretch... A friend put a similar motor in his 83 SWB, except he used the MoTown 220 top end. I think 500hp is a little more realistic (Depending on how much compression you're running...I'm assuming at least 11:1 with that big of a cam.) |
