What Spark Plug Wires do you use?

I was getting ready to change the spark plug wires on my 71 GMC and was wondering what wires were the best for the buck. I have a 350 with HEI.

Re: What Spark Plug Wires do you use?

I always use taylor wires as well. A few minutes and an ohm meter will show you how superior they are to the crap sitting on the shelves in the auto parts store.Better wires that have less resistance let the ignition parts last a lot longer because they dont have to work as hard to get the voltage to the plugs

Re: What Spark Plug Wires do you use?

I used Taylors but went to MSD's because of the size of the Taylor boots. They were touching the headers.

Re: What Spark Plug Wires do you use?

in my experience the boots on the taylor wires actually seem to hold up to heat a ton better than anything else. though any of em will melt with enough heat the taylors seem to be a little better with dealing with the heat

Re: What Spark Plug Wires do you use?

has anyone tried these? They are over 100.00 but I was thinking about trying them on the racetruck! they are numbered on each end and have super low resistance! http://www.moroso.com/catalog/catego...?catcode=39220

Re: What Spark Plug Wires do you use?

If you want cheapies...buy from autozone. They are warrantied for life, even when I burnt them on my headers they still replaced them no questions asked!! Thats a pretty good warranty.

Re: What Spark Plug Wires do you use?

I use the accels on mine, I have been really happy with them. I bought the kit where you crip on the terminals. really solved all of the problems with header clearances for me. Damn Hooker headers... hate them. Going back to Ram Horns.

Re: What Spark Plug Wires do you use?

I have had Borg-Warner spiral-core wires on my '79 Suburban (stock 350, no headers) for about 5 years, and have had no problems so far. They're ~$35 at Pep Boys.
