On my way to work the other day I started to smell anti freeze so I looked under the hood to find that my heater core was leaking. I have a couple of questions. First my truck engine has the alt mounted on the pass side I think the engine is a later model 350(80's but not sure.). I want to put a vintage air kit on. Will I have to move the alt? And is there a faq on how to change out the heater core?

I would call vintage air to be absolutely sure, but I don't think it matters where your AC compressor mounts on the engine. The engine in my 69 is the same, and eventually I plan on doing the Vintage or Old Air A/C thing also. You might consider getting a serpetine belt system off a newer style V8. It'll clean things up real nice and make belt changes much easier.

There used to be one in the FAQ about changing the heater core. It is not fun though. Mine was a bit easier because I had the whole front ent off already.

It was old link in FAQ. It's still al ittle touchy with the board search, but it you find Krue's index pages it goes pretty easy.
