Getting a new Truck

I fly out to Kansas City tomarrow to pick up my newest addition. A restored 1970 Chvrolet LWB 4x4. I has a rebuilt 355 and 4 spd. AC. PS. Front disc brakes. 3/4 ton running gear with a Dana 44 front and Dana 60 rear. 4 inch lift. 35x12.50 tires and 16 inch wheels.

Here are some pics of the truck. Now i just have a 8.5 hour ride home.

Cool - I haven't started on mine yet and I am already telling the missus I need another one (I see it everyday).... couldn't imagine telling her I was flying out to get one! Enjoy the ride!

Re: Getting a new Truck

wow that interior is almost exactly like mine. change the blue paint to red, and instead of scroll door panels, get the lined ones, still black, put a gt steering wheel in it, and a 3 hole cluster, and that's the same as mine.

Re: Getting a new Truck

I saw that one on ebay a couple of months ago, I actually looked at it right before I bought my 70 3/4t....it convinced me with the right paint the 70 front could look just as good as the 71-72....but alas....the $$$$ at the time was a bit high for me.....always been a little hesitant about buying a truck unseen.....even after actually seeing it stuff always pops up on me.....hope its as good as it looks in the pics! Congrates!!! and welcome to the board!
(what was the final bid anyway....no no....don't tell me....)

Re: Getting a new Truck

I also want to welcome you to the board. Truck looks really nice. Hope you have a good and safe trip home. Someday I am going to make another trip up your way to see that new Corvett musuem. Been through the plant but not the musuem. It was not built when I went through the plant.
