1967 windshield

I have a '67 chevy truck, I am looking for a new windshield.

I was wondering if anyone had websites that sell new windshields so I can compare prices with, mine is cracked plum across.

Thank you for everyones input....

Re: 1967 windshield

Your local windshield shop should be able to get it for you. If you were to order it it would probably be cracked by the time UPS, FedEx, DHL, or whoever got it to you.

That's how it seems, I appreciate your input. I have already found a few local places.

Thanks!

Re: 1967 windshield

Please call Mike's Auto glass in Euless. Ask to speak to him personally. He's an old car guy, and he'll come out and install a new windshield right in your home garage. He's done all my glass work for years. Top notch fellow.

Re: 1967 windshield

GM has has good prices on glass, a lot of the time cheaper than the glass shops. Especially if you want to put it in yourself. Check with your dealer, or i can get you the cost to keep em honest. I can look up any good gm PN.

Re: 1967 windshield

I had the same problem with the windshield in my '67.
Got a replacement from LMC Truck for $100.00 plus $30.00 for the gasket and $100.00 for shipping. Quality seems to be very good.
The glass came truck freight in a LARGE box that had been filled with expanding/packing foam. It survived the trip to Minnesota with no issues.
The quotes i got from local glass guys was $250.00 to $300.00 just for the glass.
After I installed the new glass I placed the original cracked windshield in the garbage can and expected to just hit it with a hammer and shatter it into a bazillion pieces. NO WAY!! I beat the he!! out of that glass and only managed to get it to fit into the can by cracking it in a line from top to bottom in about five places and FOLDING it accordian style into the can.
