What are mint chevrolet and gmc tailgates, originals, worth? Also a longbox bed that is extremely nice? I just want to know before I go talk to a guy that has both gmc and chevy box trailer and there is a mint gate of each make. Thanks

Re: mint original tailgate
I have seen asking prices of $400-$450 for "take-offs" at local swap meets. "Take-off" meaning they are original new gates removed by the owner to install a camper or whatever and then never replaced on the truck. Perhaps somone can say if they have seen them sell for more on ebay.

Re: mint original tailgate
I`ve seen them, especially GMC,for more. But,those prices given sound right-on.Is the guy selling the trailers or does he know he`s good "gem" truck parts?I`d approach it as being interested in a neat trailer to match your truck. If yourtruck is fairly rough,I wouldn`t ride up in that.
