87 V6 Engine Pic Please
I have an 86 Chevy pick-up with a V6 in it. Motor was just put in an a 305 taken out. Could someone please post a pic of the motor showing side clearance between the exhaust manifold and the frame rail on bith sides. Also when the fan shroud was put on the fan sits farther to passengers side than drivers side of the shroud standing at the front of the truck looking at the motor. I have grave concerns about the frame. Please help. Thanks

Re: 87 V6 Engine Pic Please
How about a pic looking at the fan shroud from the firewall. Really need the pics to help solve a problem. Thanks

Re: 87 V6 Engine Pic Please
It might be kinda hard since most people either do the opposite, or don't have a truck with a V6 in the first place.

Free88, do you have any pics? There's lots of experienced and knowledgable folks here. That might help them understand your problem. I have a v6 w/headers and no smog. If I get a chance I'll snap a shot for you. However I'll be pretty busy today.

Thanks. Good idea. I will take a couple of pics tonight and send them. Never thought of posting pics of the problem.

Re: 87 V6 Engine Pic Please
No pics but the 4.3 does use 1 or 2 different mounting brackets I forget since it's been so long. When we got the 86 somone had taken the 4.3 out an put a 350 in it's place, they left the mounting brakets from the 4.3 in there and it sat funny, thats how I know.
