i just purchesed a 70 gmc tail gate tonight on ebay for 40 bucks havent even seen a pica guy was selling it for his father inlaw said it was straight and rust free after auction i called the # he sent me to arange pick upit was a retired gentelman he told me it was from a truck his dad had bought to haul a camper so it was taken off hindgesc and all and stored in a barn since it was fairly new he said it does have a little surface rust near top where a topper gasket had rubbed on the paint but it is straight and otherwise rust free i can,t wait till tomarrow to meet him and get it for the money i had to take the chance

Those are the ones to find.Heh heh,I have a N.O.S. tailgate I bought for $115 from GM in`84.I`ve been saving it for my CheyenneSuper`s resto.I`m thinking of Ebaying it,I`d take $800 for it,alright.

I bought one at a swap meet last year...not cheap! The guy didn't have a booth. He just carried it in and stood there selling it. He had been saving it for 10 years and just didn't ever use it.
I keep it on display, next to a repop, so you can compare them.

They range from about a 3-5. I'm picking up my new gate off a '71 this weekend. It has been at the body shop getting all the trim shaved and then painted up. I'll get some pics up as soon as she's home.
