Chrome Tow Hooks

Was there such thing as chrome tow hooks for our trucks? My brother found a pair and said they look really good and the guy will sell them. what is the difference between 67-68 tow hooks and 69-72 tow hooks? I have a pair listed on the parts board and am not sure which ones they are.

You couldn't get tehm with a chrome bumper, so i'll asume they were all painted.
But the second part is just an asumtion...I have never seen a factory hook in real life.

Can someone clear up the tow hook issue

someone says these are 67-70
I am getting these off a 71 with Tow hook option on the Glove box door. Tom Hand sent the next pic on a post saying they are 69-72 can anyone tell me what the heck I got and what are the differences in them?

aren't they the same

Aren't all three sets shown the same? 67-68's are shorter and mounting tabs are curved. Waht a fun topic and option that draws alot of attention. I would walk many miles for cool factory options!!

I believe the ones in the 1st and 3rd picture have more of a curl in the hook part.

Exclamation Here's a pic of one I found

This is one I removed from a 69 4X4. The mounting holes are different as well as hook. Don't think it is stock, anyone care to comment

I've been told that there are 2 types of hooks for 69-72. One the hooks curve oppisite directions. Two (more rare) they go the same direction and have more hook.It took me a year to find mine. Payed a pretty penny for them too. 67-68 hooks look way different. Hopes this helps
