3-point shoulder belts in '72

Hey guys,
Is anyone familiar with http://www.buckle-up.net/id12.html ? They are the seatbelt manufacturer that offers aftermarket seatbelts for early model vehicles. They are featured in Classic Truck Magazine. It looks like a good product. Just was hoping for a little feedback from by fellow early chevy truck buds.

that's a fair price, if you can price safety anyways. well we both read the install in classic trucks, it looked pretty simple. 1 hole to drill or so and that's about the hardest part unless you already have your carpet installed and in the way.

I would like to see some good color photos of these installed in our trucks. Would also like to hear about weight of webbing and appearance of buckles.

The more I read the wreck stories on here and the crazyness on our freeways the more I want 3 point belts for daily use.

Seemed like a reasonable price, I was hoping someone on this forum had some experience with them before I take a plunge. The buckles seem fairly generic, which is the only drawback I really see. I would like to see a better replication of the original styles that were in these trucks. Thanks for the feedback guys,

I bought my set from Early Classic Enterprises. They came with brackets to bolt-up using the factory holes. The bracket on the driver's side positioned the wind up return just right so it didnt hit the gas tank, the passenger's side was even simpler setup with just a simple angle bracket.

Wow, thanks Nitro and c10Crazy, both great sources and prices. I think I may have to spend a little $ this weekend! Sounds like they install pretty easy too. Only wish I could use the original seatbelt buckle covers. Thanks for the info.

i changed the pictures on my post to some that were in better detail of the setup. You can get a better look at the brackets they supplied too. Just tryin' to help.

Those pictures help me alot. Any shots of teh male and female ends of the buckle? Also how does webbing thickness and width compare to originals? I know the newer cars have thinner ones but I like the feel and style of our older belts.

Thanks for the updates. This is another good example of the value of these boards and the membership sharing.

Oh yeah, did the set you bought come with the center belt to match?

Thanks for the pictures! That pretty much sums it up, pretty sanitary installation. Other than loosing the original style buckle, it's pretty nice. I agree, sure is nice to have the ability to share all this info between members!
