in my opinion, that's one cool unit. 72 GMC, 3/4 ton, 4x4 TOW TRUCK, that looks like it's in good condition! with no reserve. Just out of curiosity, how much do you guys thing it will bid up to? Man, how much I'd love to get my hands on something like that!

i like it too, why not a turbo 400 trans ? be nice to put a regular bed on

All 72 and earlier factory 4x4's had th350 trans.To put a 400 in You would need to change the transfer case,or disassemble it and machine it for a larger input bearing and a different shaft.

Ahh Thanks for the info, didn't know that. I would like to pick up another 3/4 ton truck after buying a 86 new, miss that thing.

if I had that thing, I'd keep the wrecker unit on it, so everytime I needed to pull a friend somewhere, haha. That thing would have come in handy tonight...a couple of times. Dang starters and their appetite for flywheels. All I can say... I'm glad it wasn't my blazer.

Really though, I think my friend really wants to buy that thing. Maybe he'll coment on it...
