I put some por 15 inside my cab today, and i got it all over my hands. I've tried to take it off , but nothing works. How do I take it off my hands? thanks

thats easy time give it time and it will wear off

Yep. In time the oils in your skin will take care of it. If you put more of it on in the future, get some rubber gloves. From what I've read, that stuff can be nasty. Treat it like a dead skunk. Keep your nose out of it and wear gloves.

Right angle grinder with a wire brush mounted on it. I have heard that Por 15 doesn't let go. Ludwig the Mad(a member from way before your time here I'd bet) spilled some of the gas tank sealer on his driveway and the above mentioned grinder would NOT take it off.

Good luck! By the way, I'd start with soaking your hands in warm soapy water for an hour. Get all wrinkled and scrub like hell.

I'm willing to bet sulfuric acid will do it.

your stuck, you want us to write your wife a letter so you dont get in trouble? but yeah time will do the job. you can use some high grid sand paper but even that can give burn marks, i tryed the wire bursh on the diegrinder did a great job, though the doctor wanted me to seek help. go fig

This brings to mind an old thread were someone got some of that on their "tool" ,mabe someone will bring that thread up,it was some funny stuff,but i do kinda feel bad for that guy

Uh... what, pray tell was this person's "tool" doing in proximity to POR-15? I mean, I can understand needing some restoration after years of non-use... but rust?

I thought that the can of POR-15 actually said "if you get this on you, only time will take it off". Anyhow, it does wear off in about two weeks.

I get it on my hands all the time . Lacquer thinner or enamel reducer takes it off. The stuff isnt magic. Its paint.

BTW POR15 sprays best with enamel reducer and lasts longest in the cup that way but if you ever run out of reducer dont be afraid to use lacquer thinner in a pinch. The cup life isnt squat ( 3 days ) but you dont notice a difference in the finish or durability. I used to use a gallon or more a month of POR15 and actually had an account with the company. Its good cyanoacrylate based paint but their usage instructions are worthless. I realize you cant do this to a frame but by far and away the best way to use it is to sandblast the suface, wash thoroughly, etch with a phosphoric acid solution , wash again and bake in an oven at 400F . NOT A KITCHEN OVEN ! Then pull the part out of the oven and spray 3 wet coats . Allow to dry for half an hour and back in the oven it goes for 2 hours to drive off the solvents. Cool it down in the oven and the paint comes out hard as a rock . I use it on all my engine and accesory parts that wont melt . Do not use the POR brand reducer. It's God awful oily schmag that NEVER dries!

i tihnk the giuy who got it on his "tool" was actually using somethign like herculiner or a rhino liner (spray/paint on bedliner stuff)
