Factory Spare Tire Carrier Bolts
I'm putting a factory underbed spare tire carrier on my pickup. Unfortunately I'm missing the bolts. I think they are 1/2" diameter? Could somebody measure the lengths of both bolts for me?
Thank you in advance, Wes

Re: Factory Spare Tire Carrier Bolts
I only have one side handy......not sure where the other one is off the top of my head.....about an 1/8 short of 10" is the length of the pivot side.....I would have to guess the other side would be about the same....hope this helps.
found the other side......8 5/8" but it is not a regular bolt....has a special square washer on it to lock it in so you can turn the retaining nut off......Paul Last edited by knsmodels; 01-30-2006 at 12:03 PM. |

UPDATE: Factory Spare Tire Carrier Bolts
My tire carrier is approximately 3'-6" long from bolt hole center to bolt hole center. It seems to be too long since the wing nut bolt doesn't line up? A little background--the truck is a '70 GMC 1/2-ton and the tire carrier is from a '62 Chevy 3/4-ton.
Any help is appreciated, Wes
