Newbie saying Hi
Just popping in to introduce myself. I just purchased a 67 Stepside. Some of you may recognize it from ebay. I lost the bidding but the seller called me when the high bidder reconsidered.
Lots of good to work with here, lots of new parts. But the best is all the body mounts and structure on the underside have been replaced already so most of my remaining work will be cosmetic. Not sure what path Im going to take with her yet. It was really purchased as a working truck for weekend projects around the house, but Im thinking I can get lumber from Home Depot just as easily in a custom as I can in a stocker so you never know  Forgive the cheezy text in the photos, they are from the ebay ad, havent had time to take my own yet.

That looks like a pretty solid truck you have there. Your future truck caused a little stir here a few weeks ago when it was on ebay. The rear fenders are from an earlier truck. Don't worry though. One of the parts vendors can fix you up with some correct fenders. You might even be able to re-use the box. It looks to be in pretty good shape. Congrats!

I think those fender add caracter.
 Actually, I really do like them, most people go the other way and use the late-model bed. I'll bet that if you "finish" the truck with those fenders, it will look cool.

My dad has a late 70 sum Dodge that is painted a bueatiful metallic blue, I can post the pic in a few days, sone im on Vacation and dont have them on hand. Ill have to have my dad scan them and e-mail them to me. (THATS going to be fun  )

As far as the rear bedsides go, follow your gut feelings if you can but follow your budget first, you can always upgrade later when the $$$$$ starts rollin in.......I'm still waiting......waiting.........no $$$$$ yet................JB

Howdy
From San Antonio TX, by the way it was me who saw it on ebay and brought up some comotion about it. But it seems to look real solid....one thing though I think the bed is rideing a little high.....My girl has a 63, and the bed doesnt go that high to the back of the cab. I don't think it should either on our trucks. Maybe something in between the bed and frame where the bed bolts down is affecting it. hmmm....any Ideas or comments guys????Just my thinks on it.

I think the 60 - 66 sit a little higher on the frame than ours do. They always lookid kinda high and stoodgy to me.
