I know alot of you guys prefer hard bed covers... but unless its a flush cover the hard covers just dont look right.. i am no building a show truck but would still like something for my wifes truck, so we can haul groceries and stuff in the back and keep them dry, not blow around, and not full of dirt.. what are some decent ones? button down or velcro?... If i have to i could build one out of wood.. i am not too concerned about looks, but wifes truck is a bit nicer than mine anyways.. so would like something decent..

i was at wallymart and they had soft bed covers for trucks they look nice and they arent very exspensive check it out

I had a TEKSTYLE (spelling?) on my 95. I really liked it. Don't remember the price right offhand. I had the one with the hook seals. Kinda like a ziploc bag. It also came with bows so it wouldn't sag. Best part was, it had a rail system that clamp to your bed rails and if you want you can remove it COMPLETELY in about 5 mins.

Tekstyle or Extang are the two I would recommend.
In colder climates, avoid snap type covers, they are a pain to close up in the winter.

Right now I have the Extang Sabre soft tonneau on my 2000 GMC Sierra.

How thick is that plywood? Looks pretty heavy

the plywood is 5/16" the aluminum tubing is 1" square

had me curious, so I put each of the 2 pieces on the scale. they each weigh about 24 lbs., so less than 50 lbs. total with everything. John

Jon, I had a Tekstyle cover on Yeller...loved it! It was a sliding snap system, no holes to drill, and the TG opens without having to undo any snaps. Was just over $200. You can get them from Summitt. Here are some pics of my truck with it on (bottom of page)

I am running Extang "Platinum" covers on two different trucks and they are a well built cover and stand up well. The Extang product has a lifetime warranty on most of their parts and a phone call to them will get replacement parts without cost.
