What years of box will fit an 86?
Looking at eventually replacing the box on my 86 regular cab regular box. My question is what years will fit on the truck?
Any problems i can encounter? I have a dual tank system, that i think will soon be a single one day in the future, so no problem with the bed there. Thanks, and i love looking at all the projects on this site. |

Won't there be a slight difference between the earlier and later beds as far as the gas filler goes? I thought the 70's models had an exposed gas cap, and the newer ones had a recessed gas cap and a filler door over it.
If so, I'd imagine you'll need the filler neck from the earlier truck if you go that route.

Got one around here with the 88-98 bed. Nice looking truck but the bed looks silly.
