interior...black or blue?

im picking up a blue 70 short wide this weekend. im not sure what color the blue is called but its not the light powder blue and its not a dark blue. sort of an in between. cant get pic till the weekend. i will probably finish this truck up for resale. course im very wishy washy when it comes to these darn trucks, so you never know anyway, what color interior (im going to put all new, stock style inside) would you chose if you were building to sell? blue...black...or maybe even white? if i was going to keep it i would probably go white, but thats just my personal taste.

Me I would want white but I think black is probably what would sell the best. Just my .02 worth

Re: interior...black or blue?

I like the look of the parchment (off white), but it would depend on what the truck was going to be used for. I'd go with the parchment for a sunny day driver or blue for an everyday driver. I don't really care for black.

Re: interior...black or blue?

My truck was blue, converted to black, now going back to blue. It all depends, what color is the paint on the interior/exterior? I have a soft spot for blue, so I vote blue!

Re: interior...black or blue?

OK call me what you want --but if I had to do it over and was not worried about retaining stock, for my 67 medium blue irridescent --I would make my interior vinyl and uphostery --- the brightest red I could find. Draws crowds and votes. They had one 2005 C6 with the lemans type blue roll thru the assembly line in BG with the bright red interior-- said it knocked your eyes out.

Re: interior...black or blue?

I have the medium blue in my GMC and wanted to keep it that way, but I have not been able to find a repo dash pad in that blue, only in the bright blue which doesn't match. So I am going to black only for that reason. I want everything to match.

Re: interior...black or blue?

I would go with black and if you go with the advise of the parchment color do yourself a favor and go price it first. A friend of mine restores 64-67 GTO's and they have parchment interiors put in there cars. Its realy spendy. It looks great but I think I would stay with black. Just my opinion.

Re: interior...black or blue?

I have seen a medium blue truck with black vinal, and it didn't look too good IMO. My first truck was blue on blue, and was beautiful.

Never did get a chance to get many pics of that one. (pre digi-cam days)

Re: interior...black or blue?

Black is the cheapest to get reproduction parts. As the owner of a white interior, they do get dirty quickly. Blue will look like more effort was put into "restoring" it, but if the next owner wants to change the body color, it won't match as well as black or white. (Basically, I have no solid input)

Re: interior...black or blue?

For my seat belts..... The seat belts came out of a 1969 Caprice. If I could find a set of bright blue seat belts to make the shoulder belt assembly like I have here, I would sell these. I do like the color of these belts though. The belts could be found an any Impala and Caprice (Bigger Cars) that I know of. The seat belt covers I modified by using some out of a van I think 70's dodge vintage. I haven't found anymore but I had to cut some down of of them. I am still trying to cut the hole out and mold it like the true shoulder belt assembly.

Re: interior...black or blue?

I`ve never seen Parchment pieces cost any more than any other color. It`s the same material, just a name for off-white.Real parchment is paper. All colors cost the same as far as I`ve seen.

Re: interior...black or blue?

71blksuper4x4 that is a very nice looking interior. i believe all the metal is blue inside and out, i think the color is same as your truck. i have to be careful, if this thing turns out looking too sweet i may just keep it and then which of my other projects do i let go ????????????????
