Anyone else noticed this in cams

I've looked at this(not lately) but noticed that summits and paw's cam house brand cams have part numbers almost identical or some do and the lift and duration are the same in the small blocks. Ck out 1102 and 1103. PAW offers more so their numbers are longer. I also noticed that Elgins were quite similar too on lift and duration. Seems like someone told me there were only like 2 or 3 real companies making cams. Just some fat for you guys to chew on. Ck it out.

Re: Anyone else noticed this in cams

Yes, most of the generic cams are likely of trw/sealedpower/federal mogul origin. Same thing as you would get from NAPA or any parts store for the stock type cams. Seems like everyone including Edelbrock carries the ever universal 204/214 cam .420 .443. These are ok for a real tight budget, but they are fairly low lift and lazy ramped quiet OEM style cams. There are better, more aggresive cams if you want to spend more from Crane ,Comp, Isky, Crower, Lunati etc.
