axle nut tool
well, I took everyones advice, went to napa, and bought the axle nut tool for my front axle....apparently the axle that never was.....70 d44hd.....parts do not exist.....locking hubs, axle nut tools, don't even get me started about the stories I have heard regarding drums and pads.....but getting back on track, I stopped off at advanced a while back, and bought what I thought was the right tool.....then relized it wasn't went to napa, blindly accepted what was handed to me.....and it is also not the right tool.....and it cost $50!
So, I will be headed back today to return both, and hopefully walk away with the right one.....I feel sooo stupid.....had I just read what the package said the tool was good for....I would have known it wasn't gonna work.....most of the axles noted at 83+ ferd 3/4 and 1ton trucks. On the upside....I got to look at the drums and pads which look to be in great shape, and the set back gave me time to work on a couple of other minor projects on the truck.
