GMC Bumper ?

I always see ads for front bumpers for chevys, but never GMC's. There is a difference and wonder who sells them? Any Vendor on here that sells them go to Carlisle, Pa. in the spring?

Re: GMC Bumper ?

Any vendor should carry the GMC bumpers, you can also pick them up at Carlisle, GMC Paul, pickump and Christian classics are some of the board vendors that set up there that I know of.

Re: GMC Bumper ?

67/68 used the same as a chevy bumper, then in 69-72 they used another style, that one has cut outs to see the lights in the lower grill easier.

Andy, are the blinkers higher in the grill in 67-68?

Re: GMC Bumper ?

Nope, just 1/2 covered.
You can adjust the bu,per a little to show more of the lens. (I have a chevy bumper with the GMC grill on my longhorn) It is really not much of a benifit, kinda like a minor detail that 75% of the people wouldn't catch.

Re: GMC Bumper ?

After digging through my pics... here's some examples. (for those who don't know)
The first pic should show the indentation on the bumper of the 69 - 72 GMC trucks. My old 69 SWB doing the modeling.
The next pic, shows a 67 GMC 2500. Notice the lenses are partially covered. Crappy old long step that was WAY overpriced pictured (seller thought it was the only long step ever made becouse HE never saw another :rolleyes )
Finally, you can see the front bumper on my rig, even though it wasn't lighned up very well, it is sitting a little lower and uncovered the lens. My rig displays it's 7 colors with pride in this picture. (I really oughta see about straightening up that bumper huh?)
