help with differences in 67-72 pickups
I am having a discussion with a friend, and he does not believe me about the differences. I looked through FAQ, and did not find a post on what the differences were, so I figured I would come to the experts
and hope you guys had a link to the differences. Thanks guys/gals

Re: help with differences in 67-72 pickups
67s have a different kicks and bends in the frame especialy the fround frame horns. the 68,69, 70 i bileive are the same exept for the nose. 71, 72 the trucks got the open nucle front end that is almost identical to the 73 and up exept that it is narrower. hope this helps.

Re: help with differences in 67-72 pickups
Here are the most obvious visual differences:
67-no sidemarkers, 45-degree slant to front of hood, plain double-slit steel grille, small rear window (large Panoramic window was an option), lower bodyline trim that follows the wheel arches, 6-lug wheels. 68-sidemarkers added, no more small rear window, otherwise looks pretty much the same as the 67 69-Front of hood made steeper, aluminum double-slit grille with black plastic "egg crate" inserts, bowtie emblem on front of hood, lower bodyline trim made wider and no longer follows wheel arch, upper body trim added 70-Black plastic grille inserts have louvres on them, rear axle widened mid-year 71-Aluminum grille frame no longer has center bar, and egg-crate insert is much more pronounced, bowtie mounted in center of grille, front turn signals mounted in front bumper, 5-lug wheels, front disc brakes 72-Rear-view mirror glued to the windshield, plastic inner door panels, extra screw on inside of door just under vent window |

Re: help with differences in 67-72 pickups
Could you be more specific what differences you`re debating?Basically, every two years the front-end styling changed, but that`s obvious.

Re: help with differences in 67-72 pickups
The longhorn info on rays chevy is inacurate. (His info was pirated, Just like most of the descriptions ont he web for these. Go looking around the web, and you'll find the exact same info, word for word everywhere else on the web)
That orange truck up there posing as a 69 has a 70 grill on it. |

He was being sarcastic.... the supports are differet because the grills and the angle of the hoods are different

Re: help with differences in 67-72 pickups
Understood... just don't want some one new to the game seeing bad info and making it the rule in there head. Like many people do after looking at the LMC catalog.
