pontiac 400
I have a pontiac 400 with turbo 400 transmission. There is a 1969 three quarter ton chevy in the local junkyard with no motor or tranny. Can anyone tell me what I need to make the pontiac fit in this truck? Is it a complicated swap? I am relatively inexperienced and appreciate any responses. Thanks.

First, you need to see if your state will let you buy the truck and title...here you are not supposed to put a junked vehicle back on the road. I tried this in high school after rebuilding the eng and tranny in an '81 Citation and proceeded to break the d@mn thing in 1/2.
The yard guy said they would have to cut out the fire wall, and remove the V.I.N. ------------------ '69 G.M.C. 350/350. Trying to clean up the left over damage from the Dope-Smokin-Old-Man I've been dubbed the Longhorn Freak/Fanatic/Expert, I just hope I can live up to it. FINALLY got the HORNIAC...a '70 one ton Longhorn with a Pontiac 350/350 and lots of 'personality'. Check out The Longhorn Webite. I live in Arkansas. I've worked with junkers before and there is no problem with getting a lost title as long as there is no lien against it. Truck was not wrecked up so I assume it does not have a junk title, but you can liscense them here even if it does. Thanks, Rex.
