Decent Day at the Junkyard
Went up to Dallas this weekend to pick up a cab. Met 68shortstep. Great guy, thanks Don.
Took my time getting home and stopped by a yard that happened to be open on Sunday. Picked up a tinted rear window, with perfect stainless trim, a GM instrument panel badge out of a '68, and a nice set of cab divider trim. $25 bucks. For me, that's a great junkyard day, because I never find anything.

Re: Decent Day at the Junkyard
Sounds like a good day. I normally find mud and mosquitos on my junkyard runs locally.

Re: Decent Day at the Junkyard
The GM instrument panel badge is a CHOKE DELETE. Rare piece.

Re: Decent Day at the Junkyard
The funny thing is, it was literally almost the only part left on the truck.

Re: Decent Day at the Junkyard
I'm usually about two years too late on the trucks I find. If I were interested in frames, rust, wheels and flat tires, I'd be set.
