No. Pretty big difference right behind the cab. Or under the cab, etc.

Andy, I'm not sure about that. I only know shortbeds, but 67-72 are 115 inches and 88-98 are 115 inches, I'm pretty sure 73-87 are 115 inches too.

i thought of that for mine but 4x4 and someone who does alot of crazy truck experiments said the frame was wider don't know if it is true.

This is what I have but not 100% sure on the accuracy.

Copied from another website: http://www.fourwheeler.com/thehistor...38/index3.html
{"The History of... Model-Year Highlights ’73: Fullsize trucks were completely redesigned. The new body style featured sculptured sides, squared-off wheel openings, more glass area, a roomier cab, and a new egg-crate grille. Framerail thickness was increased, and the gas tank was moved out of the cab to the right-side framerail. Wheelbase increased 2½ inches. Front spring rates were reduced and a front stabilizer bar was added to improve ride and handling. Rear shock absorbers were staggered to reduce axle hop. Trim levels available were Custom (standard), Custom Deluxe, Cheyenne, and Cheyenne Super. "} 73-87 swb =117.5" Last edited by Olden Days; 03-24-2006 at 01:35 PM. |

and the lwb is 131 inches.
Mudder has his 68 body on a 73 - 87 4X4 frame. You can doa 4X4, but you need to do a custom assembled body lift and address the wheelbase issues. |

I just put a 70 cab on to a 79 blazer frame. At the rear body mount the frame is 2-3 inches wider.
