R.I.P. Trucks! TV
So I took a break from shoving the new 4l60e in my '70 when I thought I would take a break and pop in the house for trucks! No Stacey, a GOLDBERG WANNABE and the other guy cant stop looking at the cue cards. You can spoof Stacey for his giggling, but he at leasy was sincere with his product commercials - no wait a minute that is what the entire show consists of.... Even all of the home improvement shows on TV dont sum up to the advertising monkeys that the Spike tv deal has turned into - will just spend my Saturdays making my own reality show from now on.....

Re: R.I.P. Trucks! TV
I thought it was just me that didn't care for the new hosts. Didn't they try that multiple hosts in the past and find out that it did not work then either!
I am diggin' Jared's new show, Muscle Car! I agree that Spike's PowerBlock has lost its luster. Even Courtney Hansen can't help it! I liked her better on Overhaulin'.

Re: R.I.P. Trucks! TV
Yup even though I knew that Stacey was leaving I thought that it was lame that on their first show the did something exactly like what Stacey had already done, and tried to beat his previous Dyno ratings, It totally turned me off to the new guys, I do however like Muscle Car TV, I like that camaro that was built from year one components.

I agree.....
Those morons barely showed themselves doing anything... at least with the mullet king you could see that he was doing the work and you could see him actually work, these two ass clowns kept ranting and raving and acting like tool dorks! I hope Stacey the best with his new show and down with powerblock!!! |

Re: R.I.P. Trucks! TV
This is the first I've heard about this. Where is Stacey going?
Boyd's new season has begun already. Seen it 2 weeks now. Go to Discovery.com home to get to American Hot Rod's site with the tv schedule and more. New season with more deadlines. Doing two cars at once right now. The Shop General Dwayne is still there. Unfortunately....

Seriously... I'm disappointed.. Just like Whoresepower TV.... It's all bolt-on... Anybody can bolt stuff on... I really enjoyed and will truly miss the "creative" side of the show...

Re: R.I.P. Trucks! TV
Came here to post that Trucks! has been ruined and low and behold this
great board was there to warn me! Man this show sucks now, no originality, no talent a55 clowns just bolting stuff on with no real building going on. Anybody wanna bet they are paying less for these two clowns than what they were paying Stacey and just dumped him to trim costs? Please tell me what show Stacey has now.

These new guys suck. Atleast they are now playing a few old episodes with Stacey in them. Last edited by jeefsilverado; 03-26-2006 at 02:48 PM. |

agreed. Trucks isnt what it used to be, that one host that sounds like Goldberg is so annoying. I changed the channel 5 minutes into the show.

Re: R.I.P. Trucks! TV
Sorry, we don't all agree on this board. I like the PowerBlock series and wish there were more building shows on TV. Stacey was very talented and will be missed. Most of these people are very talented.
I like to see the very latest vehicles, tools & equipment. The TV format is great because they can show you so much, so fast and the commercials are fine because they are the latest in car/truck stuff. I ain't turning it off! |
