look this is what i have 69 c30 custom camper open road motorhome
built at gm factory in california and camper here in california too. bad part was it's owners live in washington state. with all the rain up there the camp is junk. will be taking camper off truck and scraping it. then truck would make a nice flat bed or slideback tow truck. only 32k on this c30 custom camper open road. is 350 v8 th400 auto trans. ran and drove like a new truck 13 miles to the gallon on a 1700 + ride each way .................................................................................................... . |

Re: 71 C-30 Open Road
That is how i got my 69 GMC, took me 2 weekends to cut up the camper part and haul it away. I ended up with a cherry truck with only 65k miles on it. No parking gear though, not in the trans or on the column. Converting that soon plus a gear vender also.

Re: 71 C-30 Open Road
These are really cool! One with only 30,000 miles just sold in WA state for about $4000! I was sitting on my hands...wanted it but just too many projects. Here is one we are parting just because it was already trashed.
Board member ChrisH has a really nice one for sale at a great price!

Re: 71 C-30 Open Road
Open Road had a "factory-built" deal going for quite a few years, from slide-ins to van conversions to class"A".That`s why you see so many and they`re in the brochures.I had a Winnebago/cab`n`chassis.
