Shortbed Pro-Street:Cut Long Frame

When I start my shortbed pro-street project,I`m thinking of using a longbed frame and doing a back-half frame section. Is there any reason that isn`t feasable?

Re: Shortbed Pro-Street:Cut Long Frame

Sounds feasible, you'd be cutting the back half off of either a SWB or LWB frame

Re: Shortbed Pro-Street:Cut Long Frame

That`s what I was thinking.I`d hate to chop a short frame.Plenty of long frames under junkers.I had a short one that was rusted at the upper coil cups and planned to chop it.Someone wanted it,bought it.

Re: Shortbed Pro-Street:Cut Long Frame

I`m nowhere close to deciding on what I`ll use/fab.I have a Dana60/Detroit Locker truck rear that I`ll get narrowed, with Mark Williams 5-lug outer parts & Wilwood disc brakes.I have a basic plan, not sure how far I`ll go.
